Editing Videos with Weftly in Mobile Discord
Weftly used on an iPhone, driven from Discord with a helpful OpenClaw bot using Weftly's MCP to edit videos. The setup is simple and payment is frictionless with Machine Payments Protocol.
Weftly is an AI-first product built in an AI-first way, but know that this post is written by my own little fingers.
Last week I published a demo using Weftly with Openclaw on YouTube. This is a quick extension of that setup, where we hook OpenClaw up to Discord, and start using that familiar Discord interface to drive the same editing flows from a channel in our team server.
It’s all the same setup on the backend, but adding the Discord interface gets you easy first class user experience on mobile, complete with native video uploads and the Discord environment you know and love.
One thing to note is the upload size limit on Discord servers. The default limit on a free server is 10Mb, and videos can easily exceed that. A couple Boosts can get you a much higher limit, but something to be aware of! It’s really pretty slick overall.
Get Started
This demo shows Weftly running in OpenClaw, driven with Discord. But the pluggable magic of MCP means this could just as easily connect to Claude Code, Gemini, LiteLLM, whatever, and use the UX of wherever you have that agent. Weftly is offered over MCP. Connect to it from wherever you’re already working!
No software to install, no account to create. Just work with the stack you’re already using and set it up with Weftly to help with editing. The simplest start is pointing your agent at our MCP page (https://weftly.ai/mcp) and tell it to set you up.
If you’re using Claude Code, also check out our Marketplace (https://github.com/woven-record-media/weftly-plugins).
